To begin with, so as to give you some context as to why these collections have been created … the inspiration behind each product of Noel Carol's comes from songs he's written over the decades. The writing of the songs, themselves, played an integral role in revealing the spiritual awakening that was slowly building within him. During this whole process, he began to dabble in the creation of abstract art that he created under several pen names - the most prominent of all being Leon Papillon.
Noel has a very serious side to him, although he wants to reveal, too, that he possesses a tongue-in-cheek, comical side to him as well. Some of that will be revealed to you with time.
The stories behind his songs were to eventually become the basis for his soon-to-be-published book titled LEFT UNREAD The Stories behind the Songs of Noel Carol. The inspiration to write the book came about in 2000, immediately after he wrote a very particular song, also titled LEFT UNREAD, that was to change the trajectory of his musical and artistic endeavours forever. The Noel Carol brand has since morphed into what you're seeing at this very moment. It's the culmination of songwriting, abstract art, the writing of his memoir, by means of telling the stories behind his songs. All of this is being pulled together to bring you the wide selection of ever-growing lines of merch that range between Coffee MUGS by Mister Muggoo, abstract art by Leon Papillon, T-shirts by Who Gives a Shirt?, puzzles by Anything's Puzzible, and whatever else might evolve with time. Literally, the well of inspiration is a mighty deep well from which Noel draws.
