Collection: A Leon Papillon Originale | Noel Carol Busker
In July 1997, after three years of struggling circumstances, Noel took the first step toward homelessness—a journey that lasted four years. With no alternative, he turned to busking in the streets of Ottawa, ON, Canada, singing his songs on street corners to survive.
This charcoal drawing captures that moment on coffee mugs, jigsaw puzzles, and canvas prints. It was Leon Papillon's first-ever charcoal piece, inspired by Noel's determination to get his songs heard no matter what. In 1998, Noel hitchhiked across Canada, eventually settling in British Columbia, where he now calls home.
This collection contains five sizes, ranging from 9" x 12" to 20" x 30", perfect for honoring the resilience of independent artists who are prepared to not give up no matter what gets thrown their way.
The story continues in Noel's song and memoir, both titled Left Unread. Listen to the song | Read the book introduction
Left Unread The Stories Behind the Songs of Noel Carol, is now available as an e-Book, Paperback, and Hard Cover.
