Chapter 27 of LEFT UNREAD The Stories Behind the Songs of Noel Carol, titled "Since and for Eternity," tells the story about Noel and Roxanne.
Just a few days after landing this new means to an end, Noel was to come across a woman with the face of an angel. She was walking up the same set of library stairs that he was descending. Their eyes met for a fleeting moment. She had the most dazzling, magnificent pair of eyes. For Noel, it was love at first sight! He stopped dead in his tracks, turned around and watched her as she made her way up the staircase until he'd lost sight of her as she headed toward a table against the windowed wall. He couldn't resist the temptation to approach her. I mean, she had the face of an angel!
If Noel had ever held an imagined vision of the woman whom he'd hoped to one day find, he had indeed discovered her at that very moment. How could he ignore that she was the one he'd been secretly searching for his entire life. He'd always known that if that day were to ever arrive, he'd know just what to do the moment he saw her face.
